Vintage Shorter and Son Preserve Pot. Vintage ceramic preserve pot by Shorter and Son Ltd of Staffordshire, England, in the Petal Geranium pattern. Featuring a beautifully shaped, fluted body resembling an opening flower, decorated in soft green and warm peach glazes, with a removable lid modelled as a cluster of vibrant orange geranium flowers with green leaves and a small white blossom. The scalloped rim and richly coloured, hand painted decoration give this charming piece plenty of character, while the original printed maker's mark to the underside confirms its English manufacture.
Dimensions: 12cm x 18cm high
Condition:Good vintage condition with age-related crazing to the glaze, small chip to the top corner, Some light wear and discolouration around the base rim.
