From placing a welcoming retro runner in your hallway to fitting a large colourful vintage statement carpet under your dining table, rugs can be used throughout your home to create style and provide warmth. Using vintage and antique rugs in particular within your home brings depth and colour that cannot always be found in modern soft furnishings produced on a commercial scale.
Vintage carpets are often hand woven, giving them individuality. Usually made of natural fibres, such as wool and or silk, they are also eco-friendly. They also embrace a diverse palette of colours, with most of them created from natural resources such as berries and plants, taken from the area where the carpet is made. This can make it easier to find something that tones with your existing décor. We also love seeing antique rugs used as wall hangings for a real pop of colour and ornamentation in an unexpected place.
From Tabriz to Shirvan, Bidjar to Afshar, we source a variety of Persian rugs to suit every style - whether you are looking for pictorial rugs telling stories and recording traditions from long ago, to more retro geometric rugs. We particularly love hand knotted Bokhara rugs and beautiful flat woven Kilim rugs.
