Vintage Hand Pieced Hexagon Patchwork Quilt.A large hand pieced hexagon patchwork quilt, mid-20th century, made using the traditional English paper-piecing method. Hundreds of small fabric hexagons a joyful mix of floral, striped, spotted and checked cotton prints are pieced together entirely by hand, arranged in a rosette pattern that graduates from a warm orange and grey centre outward. Bound in a solid rose-pink cotton border. A wonderfully characterful textile piece, equally at home as a bedspread, wall hanging, or folded throw.
Dimensions: 236cm x 216cm
Condition:Genuine wear and fading throughout, consistent with age and use a lovely lived-in quality typical of hand-pieced vintage quilts. Damage noted to a few of the more silky-fabric hexagons, which have worn and split more than the cotton patches around them (see close-up photography)

Delivery
Free delivery is available on small items and selected smaller pieces of furniture. This covers UK mainland addresses only and excludes the Highlands and Islands.
