Vintage 1950s Sailing and Yachting Photograph Album.A fascinating vintage photograph album documenting British sailing and yachting life from 1949 through the late 1950s, containing over 100 original black and white photographs. The images include sailing boats, yachts, crews, harbours and days spent on the water, with many accompanied by handwritten dates, locations and boat names. Locations include Brightlingsea Creek, Felixstowe and Aldeburgh, alongside photographs of named vessels including Ripple and Fidelis and candid images of friends and family aboard. A wonderfully evocative and substantial record of post-war British sailing with plenty of scope for further research into the boats, people and locations pictured.

Condition:In good vintage condition with age related wear to the album, pages and photographs. Some photographs are missing from their original positions in the album, with a number of loose photographs retained alongside it. There is general toning, edge wear and handling consistent with age. Contains over 100 photographs in total. Please refer to the photographs for further detail.
