VictorianEbonisedandUpholsteredConversationSofaforReupholstery.Victorian conversation sofa, dating from the late 19th century, with an elegant asymmetrical design featuring a high sweeping back at one end and a lower curved back at the other. The sofa has deep buttoned upholstery, decorative turned spindles to the open back section and an ebonised wooden frame with turned front legs, gilt detailing and castors. Currently upholstered in yellow fabric with contrasting black piping, the sofa has wonderful proportions and an interesting sculptural shape.
Dimesions: 210cm long x 65cm deep x 36cm seat height x 61cm high back x 83cm high at the end
Condition: Solidcondition and requiring reupholstery. The yellow upholstery is worn, with tears and splits along the upper back edge, particularly to the sweeping curved section. There is further general wear, creasing and marks to the fabric throughout. The ebonised wooden frame shows age-related wear, rubbing and losses to the finish. Please refer to photographs for details. Offered as a reupholstery project.
Delivery: 100 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £100 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
Many of our pieces are vintage or pre-owned, so some signs of wear may be present. We always aim to describe and photograph each item as accurately as possible.
