Tim Lawson Stormwood 87 Large Natural Edge Burr Wood Bowl.A large hand turned natural edge burr wood bowl by Tim Lawson of Stormwood '87. Formed from a particularly characterful section of timber with beautiful figuring throughout, the bowl retains its rugged natural bark edge in contrast to the smoothly turned interior. Lawson established Stormwood '87 following the Great Storm of 1987 and became known for turning distinctive pieces from storm felled and naturally figured timber. A wonderfully tactile and sculptural example of British studio woodturning.
Dimensions: 41cm x 16cm
Condition:Good used condition with natural splits cracks knots and irregularities inherent to the timber. Some light marks and wear from use. The natural bark edge is characteristically uneven with areas of loss. Please refer to photographs.
