Pair of Vintage Porcelain Dog Figurines in Blue Bonnets
1 in stock
Pair of Vintage Porcelain Dog Figurines in Blue Bonnets.A charming pair of porcelain dog figures, each seated upright and rather splendidly dressed in a blue bonnet with a red ribbon tied beneath the chin. Modelled as a matching pair, they have white glazed bodies picked out with warm red-orange detailing to the paws, tails and ribbons, with simple hand-painted facial features giving each one a slightly different expression. The modelling is deliberately playful and a little naive, which gives them plenty of character. A fun decorative pair for a shelf, dresser or collection of vintage ceramics.
Dimensions: 11cm x 7cm x 17cm high
Condition:Good vintage condition with general light wear and small firing irregularities consistent with age and manufacture. There are minor surface marks and some variation to the painted decoration. The undersides are unmarked and hollow.
