Pair of Indian Carved Hardwood & Pietra Dura Marble Jali Side Tables. 20th Centurypair of Indian occasional tables combining carved hardwood bases with octagonal white marble tops worked in traditional pietra dura inlay and pierced jali. Each top is centred with a circular arrangement of red floral motifs and green foliage, surrounded by radiating panels of finely pierced geometric latticework and a further trailing floral border around the edge. The removable marble tops sit on carved hardwood bases formed from four scrolling supports arranged around a turned central finial, the warm colour of the timber contrasting beautifully with the white marble. The combination of floral stone inlay and pierced marble draws strongly on Mughal decorative traditions associated with Agra, where this type of pietra dura and jali work continues to be produced. A particularly attractive pair with enough detail to work as statement pieces while remaining very usable as lamp tables, bedside tables or occasional table
Dimensions: 43cm x 43cm x 40cm high
Condition:Good vintage condition with marks, knocks, scratches and surface wear consistent with age and use. There is some variation to the finish of the hardwood bases together with minor age-related marks and small imperfections to the marble, inlay and pierced work. The tops are removable from the bases. Please refer closely to the photographs for the overall condition and handmade finish.
Delivery: 75 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £75 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
