Pair of Antique Oak Spindle Back Country Chairs.Pair of antique oak & ashcountry chairs, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, with beautifully simple proportions and a lovely rich, warm patina. Each chair features a gently curved ladder-style back with an attractive figured top rail and three small decorative turned spindles between the lower rails. The polished wooden seats are supported by square legs united by stretchers, giving the chairs a sturdy, practical appearance.A lovely pair of traditional country chairs, ideal for a farmhouse kitchen, dining room or hallway, equally attractive used individually as occasional chairs or together around a small table.
Dimensions: 48cm wide x 38cm deep x 45cm seat height x 88cm high back
Condition:Good antique condition with general age-related wear, surface scratches, knocks, marks and areas of rubbing to the finish. Some minor variations in colour and wear between the two chairs, consistent with age and use. The seats show surface marks and signs of previous use. Please refer to photographs for details.
Delivery: 75 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £75 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
Many of our pieces are vintage or pre-owned, so some signs of wear may be present. We always aim to describe and photograph each item as accurately as possible.
