Pair Manilla Bronze Bangles. Two 19th Century Manilla money bangles.This form of money was used in Africa and Manilla in the 19th and early 20th century, some go back into the 17th and 18th century. Some historians refer to these as slave money but it appears that it was used in the traditional barter system.
