Mid Century Sapele Long Occasional Side Table.A wonderfully simple mid 20th century long low table constructed in sapele, with clean lines and an understated utilitarian design. The long rectangular top has an attractive warm reddish-brown colour and pronounced ribbon-like grain typical of sapele, finished with a subtly moulded edge. It is supported by three substantial trestle-style uprights with broad feet, connected by long horizontal stretchers running the length of the piece. The restrained construction and generous proportions give it a strong architectural quality, sitting somewhere between traditional refectory furniture and mid-century modern design. Particularly versatile, it could be used as a long low table, display table or bench depending on the setting, and would work especially well in a hallway, living room or against a long wall.

Condition:Vintage condition with marks, knocks, scratches, fading and general surface wear consistent with age and use. There is a chip/loss to one corner of the top, which is clearly shown in the photographs, together with smaller knocks and wear around the edges and feet. There is some variation to the colour and finish of the sapele and further minor age-related marks throughout
Delivery: 75 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £75 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
Many of our pieces are vintage or pre-owned, so some signs of wear may be present. We always aim to describe and photograph each item as accurately as possible.
