Mid Century Newcraft Home Office Folding Desk Cabinet.An unusual and cleverly designed mid century folding home office cabinet by Newcraft Ltd of London, dating to the1960s. Made in England, this ingenious piece combines a fully equipped writing desk with a compact, understated storage cabinet.The two full-height doors open to reveal a wonderfully organised interior, with multiple shelves, pigeonholes, document compartments and dedicated storage for stationery and office essentials. A fold-out writing surface extends across the full width when the doors are opened, supported by shaped brackets, while a sliding tray beneath provides additional workspace. The inside of the right-hand door incorporates a fitted filing compartment with original green dividers, while the left-hand door provides further shelving and storage. When closed, the entire workstation folds neatly away behind two simple doors, making it a wonderfully practical and versatile piece for modern living. Raised on shaped feet and retaining its original Newcraft Ltd Home Office label, this is a particularly interesting example of innovative British mid-century furniture design, equally suited to a home office, study or living space.

Condition:Good vintage condition with general age-related wear, surface scratches, marks and some variations in colour and finish. Minor knocks and scuffs around the edges and corners, couple of small chips to the bottom edge of the door, some wear to the interior shelving and writing surfaces consistent with use. The original fitted storage compartments and filing system remain in place. Please refer to photographs for details.
Delivery: 100 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £100 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
