Large Japanese Carved Throne Chair. A late 19th Century - early 20th Century Japanese carved wood possibly rosewood armchair elaborately and richly carved in deep relief with shobu (irises), waves, and panels of sparrow amid chrysanthemum, the shield back and shaped seat supported on scroll-footed cabriole legs.

Dimensions: 72cm wide x 61cm deep x 44cm seat height x 76cm arm height x 121cm high at the back.

Condition: Solid condition, some damage and wear to the legs, a couple of historic repairs, age and wear, wear to the finish.
