Joan A. Solomon Watercolour Still Life, 1927.A watercolour still life of mixed blossoms including apple blossom and camellia arranged in a jug, dated 1927 and signed "Joan A. Solomon" lower left, with the name and date also inscribed on the mount. Painted in soft washes of pink, white and grey-blue, the composition centres on the jug as much as the flowers themselves. Presented under glass in its original carved gilt frame.
Dimensions: Overall 47cm x 34.5cm / painting 32.5cm x 20cm
Condition:Painting in good condition under glass, colours bright with no visible fading or foxing noted. Frame shows wear consistent with age, including losses to the gilt moulding at the corners and edges. Backing paper aged and split in places.
