French Mahogany & Marble Secretaire Chest of Drawers.19th century French mahogany secretaire chest of drawers, featuring richly figured flame mahogany veneers and a contrasting white marble top. The rectangular cabinet has a moulded frieze above a fall-front secretaire compartment, opening to reveal a fitted interior with three small drawers and a green leather writing surface. Below are three graduated drawers, raised on a plinth base with small block feet.An elegant and practical antique offering useful storage alongside a concealed writing desk, suitable for a bedroom, study or living room.
Dimensions: 127cm wide x 57cm deep x 96cm high
Condition:Good antique condition with general wear, marks, knocks and scratches consistent with age and use. There are several areas of chipped and missing veneer to the drawer fronts, together with rubbing and variations in colour to the mahogany finish. The green leather writing surface is heavily worn, with scratches, scuffs, staining and areas of deterioration, particularly along the central fold. One drawer has a later replacement escutcheon. Further minor wear to the interior fittings and small drawers.
Delivery: 100 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £100 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
Many of our pieces are vintage or pre-owned, so some signs of wear may be present. We always aim to describe and photograph each item as accurately as possible.
