Early 20th Century Painted Two Tier Plant Stand / Occasional Table.Early 20th century two tier plant stand or occasional table with turned supports and hand painted floral decoration. The circular top is painted with a loose arrangement of roses and foliage within a trailing floral border, while the lower shelf carries a further bouquet of flowers and leaves. The painted decoration has softened and worn considerably over time, giving the piece a wonderfully faded, almost folk art quality rather than a formal polished finish. The slender turned legs and small ball feet keep the proportions light, making it particularly useful as a plant stand, lamp table or decorative side table beside a chair or sofa.
Dimensions: 37cm diameter x 59cm high
Condition:Antique condition with considerable wear to the painted decoration and surface finish, particularly across the top. There are marks, scratches, knocks, fading, rubbing and small areas of loss throughout.
