Antique Vienna Porcelain Breakfast Service. The set includes: 4 large plates, 3 bowls, 2 jugs, 6 egg cups, 12 plates, 12 cups and saucers. Circa 1880, Gilt with stylised foliage on alternating turquoise and white panels within a cream and gilt border.
The Royal Vienna porcelain factory was founded in 1744 and used the shield mark as its factory mark until the factory closed in 1864. Immediately the factory closed various other manufacturers in Austria began to produce wares in the style of the Vienna factory. Without a mark it can be difficult to be certain of the exact origin of such pieces but I do think that this service is probably from Vienna and was made around 1880.
Condition: General age and signs of use with some wear to the gilding and decoration, hairline cracks in two of the plates, crack in the smaller bowl, cracks in 6 of the cups.

Delivery
Free delivery is available on small items and selected smaller pieces of furniture. This covers UK mainland addresses only and excludes the Highlands and Islands.
