Antique Pine Towel Rail.19th Century pine towel rail with a scumble painted finish, comprising three turned rails set between shaped uprights, standing on block feet. The faux grained scumble decoration has faded and worn attractively with age, giving a soft, pale, painterly finish quite different from a plain stripped or waxed pine piece. A charming, functional item for a bathroom, kitchen, or utility space.
Dimensions: 63cm wide x 29cm deep x 82cm high
Condition:Worn scumble painted finish in used, characterful condition; there is historic damage and an old repair to one of the legs, along with general surface wear, marks, and small paint losses consistent with age and everyday use, but the rail is stable and fit for purpose.
