Antique Italian Painted Pine Trunk

Antique Italian painted pine trunk. Early 19th Century Italian painted and stencilled pine chest, in the 17th century style. Decorated with stylised foliate motifs throughout, the front with architectural arches the lid with stylised fleur de lys panels, the hinged lid revealing a lidded side compartment.

Dimensions: 113cm wide x 52cm deep x 52cm high.

Condition: Age and wear to the decoration, some historic repairs, evidence of old woodworm in the base.
