Antique Georgian Style Cylinder Bureau Cabinet. Late 19th Century bureau, based on designs of about 1800 which owed much to the pattern books of Thomas Sheraton. Good quality, strung with boxwood and banded with rosewood, the moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors, the base with a cylinder enclosing a fitted interior over a frieze drawer and arched kneehole flanked by short drawers on square tapering legs and spade feet.

Dimensions: 82cm wide x 47cm deep, writing surface 41cm deep x 79cm high slope x 172cm total height.

Condition: Later handles, old worn leather insert,small split across the front of the cylinder bureau, some small splits and minor losses to the veneer.
