Antique Edwardian Edwards and Roberts Inlaid Mahogany Writing Table. Antique Edwardian mahogany writing table by Edwards and Roberts of London, dating from the early 20th century. The rectangular top features an inset black rexine writing surface bordered by richly coloured mahogany, above two frieze drawers decorated with delicate floral swag inlay and fine stringing, each fitted with a decorative brass ring handle. Raised on slender square tapering legs terminating in brass castors, the table has beautifully balanced proportions and refined detailing typical of the Sheraton Revival style. Stamped Edwards and Roberts to the drawer, identifying the renowned London furniture firm celebrated for its quality cabinetmaking and decorative inlaid furniture. A charming and versatile antique suitable for use as a writing desk, dressing table or occasional table.
Dimensions: 90cm wide x 50cm deep x 75cm high 60cm high frieze
Condition:Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. Surface scratches, marks and variations in the mahogany finish, together with wear and discolouration to the black leather writing surface. Some tarnishing to the brass fittings and castors. Evidence of historic woodworm - this has been treated as a precaution. Please refer to the photographs for further details.
Delivery: 75 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £75 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
