17th Century Oak Press Cupboard

17th Century & Later Press Cupboard. The foliate-incised cornice over a palmette-incised frieze with turned corbels and with the date 1685 above three recessed panels carved with biblical subjects, the base with two doors each with conforming carved panels over two panels carved with the four apostles. This 17th century style cupboard appears to have been assembled from various components, some of which may be 17th century. Most of the carving however could be later, perhaps 19th century.

Dimensions: 164cm wide x 61cm deep x 172cm high, 113cm high base

Condition: Good condition, screw in the lock, old woodworm in the board on the back
