Antique Empire style inlaid mahogany secretaire abbatant. Early 19th Century writing bureau. Strung with brass, the galleried top inlaid with a fine gothic arcade above a drawer inlaid with palmettes over a fall flap enclosing a fitted interior, the base with a pair of doors, within lyre and palmette-inlaid pilasters on block feet.

Dimensions: 89cm wide x 45cm deep x 143cm high.

Condition: Solid condition, working lock and key on the fall front, age and minor losses to the veneer and brass inlay, some age related splits to the walnut on the fall front and cupboard doors.
