Victorian Walnut Two Tier Whatnot Side Table. Mid 19th century walnut whatnot,now reduced from its original taller form and repurposed as a particularly useful two-tier side table.The upper shelf is supported on four elegant barley twist columns above a figured walnut lower tier and single frieze drawer fitted with a pair of turned wooden handles, on turned legs with small castors. The walnut has a warm, richly figured surface with the variation, marks and mellowing expected from age. Although altered from its original configuration, the reduced height makes it an extremely practical piece beside a sofa or armchair, with useful display space above and storage below.

Condition:Antique condition with marks, knocks, scratches, fading, old repairs and general surface wear consistent with age and use. The whatnot has been reduced in height from its original taller configuration, with the present upper shelf forming the new top. There is wear and marking to the shelves and some variation to the walnut finish, tThe castors are present and the drawer runs as expected for its age. Please refer closely to the photographs for the overall condition and the nature of the alteration.
Delivery: 75 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £75 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
