Oak Bureau Early 16th Century Carvings. Victorian carved oak writing desk incorporating sixteenth / seventeenth century components. The rectangular boarded top with a hinged section above a carved frieze with a corresponding fall front section enclosing a writing inset with arcaded pigeon holes and small lateral drawers, below is a shallow apron drawer and a long drawer above a pair of doors with carved panels flanked by figural carved terminals, on bun feet.
Dimensions: 98cm wide x 48cm deep x 99cm high x 79cm high to the writing surface x 67cm knee height to the frieze.
Condition: Stains & ink to the interior, some evidence of woodworm which has been treated as a precaution.
