Antique Brass & Padouk Zanzibar Chest. A striking antique studded chest, clad in brass and copper panels over a padouk carcass, combining bold decoration with practical storage. The hinged lid is bordered with rows of studs, opening to a spacious interior, while the front displays geometric metal panelwork and an ornate central escutcheon. Below, three small drawers with decorative drop handles provide additional storage. Raised on later turned bun feet.

Condition: Good solid condition, age and wear to the metal, historic professional repairs, missing a few studs, some losses to the metal cladding,later bun feet.
