A. J. Watts Cornish Watercolour of St Michaels Mount.A small original Cornish watercolour by A. J. Watts, depicting St Michaels Mount rising dramatically from the sea, with sailing boats in the foreground and the Cornish coastline beyond. The work is signed A. J. Watts and dated July 90to the lower right.Although modest in scale, it is a nicely detailed little painting, particularly in the treatment of the sea, rocky shoreline and architecture of the Mount. The muted blue, grey and earthy palette gives it a slightly atmospheric feel and it sits well within its simple gilt-toned wooden frame and pale mount.
Dimensions: 28cm x 23cm x 1.5cm / 15.5cm x 9cm
Condition:Good overall vintage condition. Some light age-related wear and marks to the frame and mount. The watercolour itself appears well preserved behind glass. Please refer to the photographs for full condition.
