Scottie Wilson for Royal Worcester Crown Ware Tea Set.A striking mid century tea and coffee service designed by outsider artist Scottie Wilson for Royal Worcester, produced at the Palissy Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent, in the early 1960s. Wilson's distinctive pattern stylised birds, fish and totemic motifs printed in black and grey on white glazed earthenware was inspired by North American Indian totem poles encountered on his travels in Canada. The design was a commercial failure on original release, making surviving sets genuinely scarce today. This set comprises six cups, saucers and side plates, a lidded sugar bowl, a milk/cream jug, and a rectangular sandwich/serving tray, all marked "Scottie Wilson, Royal Worcester, Crown Ware, England" to the base.

Condition:Good vintage condition overall, with light surface crazing typical of the glaze and period. Couple of small chips to the bottoms of the cups
