Gothic Revival Oak Occasional Chair. Late 19th century Gothic Revival oak chair with back rail featuring pierced trefoil motifs above a solid plank seat. Raised on elegant sabre-form supports joined by a simple stretcher, the chair has a restrained architectural quality with strong country house and ecclesiastical influence. This piece works beautifully as a hallway chair, occasional seat or decorative accent in traditional, rustic or gothic-inspired interiors.

Condition: Repair to the leg and to the seat, later metal straps to brace the leg and two filled screw holes to the seat
