Antique French Louis XV Style Chair. 19th Century sweet French Louis XV style salon chair with finely carved oak or chestnut frame. The shaped back and bowed seat are upholstered in pale pink floral silk damask, trimmed with decorative braid, and raised on elegant cabriole legs with carved foliate detail to the knees and apron.
Richly decorative yet delicate in proportion, this chair makes a beautiful bedroom, dressing room or occasional accent piece.
Dimensions:44cm wide x 38cm x 45cm seat height x 80cm back height.
Condition: Solid condition, historic repairs to the frame, original gilt finish on the frame is very worn or possibly stripped. Would benefit from being reupholstered, historic worm and damage to front foot.
