George III Oak Oval Gateleg Dining Table.A handsome George III oak gateleg dining table with a warm, richly aged surface and very pleasing proportions. The oval top is formed from broad oak boards with two hinged drop leaves, opening to create a generous dining surface while folding down neatly when not in use. The table is fitted with a drawer to each end and raised on turned baluster legs joined by stretchers, with the gate action supporting the leaves when extended. The oak has developed a deep, mellow colour with plenty of character, including the expected knocks, scratches, marks and surface variation from age and use. A wonderfully practical antique table that works particularly well where flexibility is needed, equally suited to use as a dining table, kitchen table or occasional table.
Dimensions: 140cm long when extended x 49cm when closed x 117cm deep x 75cm high
Condition: Good antique condition overall with general age related wear, marks, scratches and colour variation to the top and frame. There are some later round wooden plugs to the tabletop, all consistent with the tables age and long use. Structurally sound and usable.
Delivery: 75 flat rate for England and Wales only. This is an economy service with a two-person team, delivering to a ground floor room of choice. Please contact us prior to purchase for deliveries involving stairs, restricted access, Scotland, or if an express service is required.

We offer free cancellation or a full refund on any order prior to dispatch.
Delivery can usually be arranged on a day that suits you — simply leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
We offer a flat-rate delivery service of £75 across England & Wales. For deliveries to Scotland, please contact us for a tailored quote due to distance. You are also very welcome to collect your item in person from our warehouse.
Most deliveries are completed within 3–5 working days from dispatch. If you require an expedited service, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
If you would like to delay dispatch for a few weeks, please add a note at checkout and we will happily hold your item. For longer-term storage, please contact us in advance to discuss options.
Our delivery service is carried out by a two-person team and includes delivery to your room of choice. This covers up to one flight of stairs. If delivery is required to a second floor or above, please notify us in advance as a £15 surcharge per floor will apply.
Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. If you have any concerns regarding access, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
For your peace of mind, we provide a 30-day returns period. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or is not as described, we will arrange a free return. For all other returns, please contact us to discuss options.
Many of our pieces are vintage or pre-owned, so some signs of wear may be present. We always aim to describe and photograph each item as accurately as possible.
