Mothers Day; a day where Mother's all around the world can spend an extra couple of hours in bed, with a freshly brewed cuppa and their favourite book or magazine! Mothering Sunday has moved away from it's traditionally religious roots, and has become a day to celebrate our mothers, and other maternal figures in our lives such as Grandmothers, Stepmothers, Aunties. The date is different each year as it is linked to Easter, both are decided by the lunar calendar, as has been the case since the 16th Century. Mothers Day presents needn't be the usual toiletries, chocolates or flowers.
