The back is framed by sweeping rosewood uprights, flowing into open arms with scroll terminals and carved floral detail, while the serpentine seat rail and cabriole style front legs continue the same elegant line. The pierced crest is particularly attractive, with scrolling foliage and flowerhead carving giving the chair a lighter, more delicate feel than many Victorian armchairs. The existing upholstery is tired and the chair is being sold for reupholstery, making it a good opportunity to choose a fabric that suits the room.

Dimensions: 70cm wide x 80cm deep x 34cm seat height x 52cm arm height x 79cm high

Condition:Good antique frame with general knocks, scuffs, rubbing and surface marks to the rosewood consistent with age and use.
