Moulded rails and channelled stile supports add further depth to the facade, while the panelled sides retain the simple joined construction typical of the period. The lid lifts to reveal a generous open interior, making this an attractive piece of early furniture that remains genuinely useful for storing blankets or linen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions: 115cm wide x 50cm deep x 69cm high\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition:Good antique condition for its considerable age, with numerous marks, knocks, scratches, old repairs and areas of wear throughout. The underside and rear show later strengthening and repair work, including additional timber supports, and there are old splits and repairs around the lid and hinge areas.
