Tall oak candlestick dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, with a substantial barley twist stem and richly turned and carved detailing. The spiralling central column rises from a broad stepped circular base, with carved floral decoration to the lower collar and further gadrooned and turned detail beneath the candle socket. The oak has developed a deep warm brown colour with lighter wear to the raised edges, giving the piece plenty of depth and character.
